Principal Welcome Message 

Dear Pomerado Families and Community,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Pomerado Elementary. I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join this wonderful community and look forward to partnering with you in support of our students.

For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving as an assistant principal within Poway Unified School District, most recently at Westwood Elementary and previously at Monterey Ridge Elementary. Before moving into school leadership, I spent 15 years as an elementary teacher and teacher leader. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that schools thrive when strong relationships exist between students, families, staff, and the community.

As I begin this new role, my first priority will be to listen and learn. I look forward to getting to know our students, meeting families, learning about Pomerado’s traditions and strengths, and understanding what makes this community so special. I believe that the best schools are built through partnership, and I am excited to work alongside you to ensure every student feels known, valued, and supported.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. Being a parent has deepened my appreciation for the trust families place in educators each day and has strengthened my commitment to creating a school experience where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

I look forward to meeting many of you soon and beginning this journey together. Thank you for welcoming me into the Pomerado community. I am honored to be part of such an important chapter in the lives of your children and families.
