Dear Pomerado Elementary Families,
After much reflection, I am writing to share some bittersweet news. I have made the difficult decision to step down from my position as principal at Pomerado Elementary, effective June 30, 2026.
Serving the Pomerado community during this school year has been a great privilege. From my very first day, I have been inspired by your warmth, your partnership, and your dedication to our students. The collective work between our families and staff is what makes this school so incredibly special, and I am profoundly grateful for the trust you have placed in me to lead.
While this decision was not easy, I have come to recognize that it is the right moment for me to step away and pursue a new chapter in my career - a choice I believe is best for my family and myself.
As I reflect on my time as a Wildcat, what I will treasure most are the people. I will always remember the bright smiles of your children, their incredible capacity to learn and grow, and the countless ways this community steps up to support one another.
Leadership transitions can bring feelings of uncertainty, but please rest assured that Pomerado is on a wonderful trajectory. We have a phenomenal, deeply committed staff, strong systems in place, and a community whose heart is always centered on what is best for children. I have no doubt that the future is incredibly bright for our students.
